We recommend a minimum stay of one week. However, if you are able to stay longer, it may bring significantly greater benefit to your process.
If you cancel 2 weeks prior to arrival, we will refund 35% of the total amount paid.

Once you’ve arrived in Iquitos, you have four main options to reach our retreat. Our trusted friend Mr. Brian, who speaks Spanish and English, can help you get where you need to be — whether it’s picking you up at the airport, meeting you at our local meeting point, or helping you navigate to the boat or hiking trail.
You can board the local transport boat from Belén Market in Iquitos around 9 am. The journey takes approximately 5–7 hours and drops you directly at Paojilhuasca. Though it takes longer and may not be the most comfortable ride, the immersion into local culture and the riverside views are fascinating. Cost: approximately 30 soles, paid directly to the boat driver upon arrival.
We have our own boat to transport guests directly from Iquitos to Paojilhuasca. This option is more comfortable than the slow boat and takes approximately 3 hours. Cost: USD 20 one-way. Mr. Brian will meet you at our meeting point, Amazon Bistro (see below), around 10:30–11 am and take you to the boat.
Take a taxi (price negotiated), tuk-tuk (usually 50–70 soles), or colectivo car (10 soles) to km 34 on the road south of Iquitos.

From here, you can hike into the jungle. Access the trail to the left of Casa Estellita; it will be signed for Paojilhuasca. The trail is 6 km long and takes approximately 1.5–2 hours, depending on weather and walking speed. Mobile reception is unavailable along the pathway.
The path is relatively cleared and wide, but can be hilly and uneven in places. After heavy rain, some sections may be wet or flooded. You can walk the path alone, or Mr. Brian can arrange a local guide to accompany you and carry your bags for 50 soles.
Depending on the season and recent weather, it may be possible to reach Paojilhuasca by tuk-tuk along the jungle path. Follow the same transport options as for the hike, but travel to km 32 of the road, where we can arrange a tuk-tuk to collect you.
The journey from there takes approximately 40 minutes. Cost: 50 soles, paid directly to the tuk-tuk driver. This option is weather-dependent and available only when conditions allow.
For all options, we recommend discussing your preferred arrival option with us in advance so we can support you properly and anticipate your exact arrival time. Individual transport costs to and from the retreat are not included in the base retreat price.
